    HydrauPack Icemann

Ampelmann developed a new Walk-to-Work system called "Icemann", specially designed for safe and efficient transfer of crew in extremely cold conditions up to -28 degrees Celsius (-18F). Because these extreme temperatures are too low for hydraulic oil, Hydrauvision devised a solution where the system is in temperature within two hours and can be used safely.

    Multifunctional winch 80 ton

These winches have been especially designed and built for a company that specialises in lifting heavy loads. The winches are used to control the load in the horizontal direction. The maximum pulling force of the winches is 80 tons on the first layer with a maximum storage capacity of 960 m of 52 mm cable in 8 layers. The winches are certified for offshore lifting in accordance with DNV 2.7-3.

Hosereel drives with spooling device for ILT's

Hydraulic internal lifting tools and hydraulic shackles are used by using large cranes on-board of the 'Thialf' Deepsea Crane Vessel. This equipment must be provided with hydraulic energy. Hydrauvision was instructed to deliver hydraulically driven hose reels and hydraulic power units (HPUs).

Ten people work safely on Spool Base Work Platform

Hydrauvision has built a gigantic safety system for the Carlyss Spool Base. On this Spool Base, steel tubing is manufactured, which is then wound onto vertically positioned reels with a diameter of 24 m. The tubes may have a length of up to 1 km and a diameter between 6 and 16 inches. The reels are positioned on a floating vessel moored at the quay.

‘Where ten people are working under such precarious circumstances, safety has our highest priority. That is why the platform can be moved downward very quickly when the maximum load is exceeded.’

Multifunctional winch spooler also winds "other" winches

Considering the fact that the pulling force of our rental winches differ each time, the mechanical winding method - by means of a grooved spindle construction, whereby the cable is wound by means of a parallel movement from left to right and vice versa, is not suitable.

    Venice saved from ruin

To protect the Netherlands against the rising of the sea level, the Delta Works have been built -according to the American Society of Civil Engineers one of the seven modern wonders of the world. Hydrauvision, who also contributed to the development of the Delta Works, once again was asked to collaborate in a similarly major project - this time in Venice.

Successful installation RSS tower in Australia

An extensive gas field has been discovered off the North-West coast of Australia, in the Timor Sea. To mine this liquid natural gas a floating, semi-submersible platform was built. The LNG is extracted by means of a number of hoses called umbilicals. Hydrauvision has contributed to this project, called Ichthys, by providing the suction spread - including winches, hoses and water pumps. The Ichthys project is one of the largest LNG projects in the world.
