Hydrauvision supplies different types of Active Heave Compensation solutions. We have completed various projects, each with specific requirements. Depending on the customer’s needs, we offer Rotary AHC systems, Linear AHC systems or integrated heave compensation solutions. All systems are designed for the customer’s operational needs. They are modular and engineered for efficient integration into new or existing setups.

Modular design using standard equipment

Hydrauvision’s active heave compensation systems are modular systems, built with standard equipment. A typical configuration of a AHC includes:
  • MRU (Motion Reference Unit)
  • Control unit (PLC + software)
  • Drive unit (Electric/Hydraulic/Hybrid)
  • Winch or Crane
The MRU measures the movement of the ship and the control unit controls the system based on the MRU data. The actual compensation will be carried out by the winch, powered by a drive unit, which can be Electric, Hydraulic or Hybrid driven. For example the Hydrauvision zero-emission HP200E unit. All configured to your specific requirements, delivered by Hydrauvision.
