Your role as Automation Engineer
In this position, you are responsible for designing, developing, and implementing the control systems of our installations. You will work on SCADA systems, PLC software, and HMI interfaces, translating functional requirements into robust and safe system designs.
Your tasks include:
Defining functional and safety specifications in collaboration with the client
Developing, testing, and optimizing SCADA, PLC, and HMI software
Supporting testing, on-site integration, and commissioning
Coordinating with assembly and service teams regarding questions or issues in ongoing projects
Working on multiple projects simultaneously, including planning and setting priorities
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree (HBO) or MBO level 4 with relevant experience
Experience with Siemens TIA Portal, B&R, Codesys, or Danfoss Plus+1
Knowledge of industrial networks (CANbus, Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet/IP)
Experience with Python or C is a plus
Experience with hydraulic and/or electrical drive technology and/or heavy machinery is an advantage
Good command of English; Dutch is a plus
You are accurate, independent, and willing to occasionally travel to client locations
