Help build the growth of Hydrauvision in the Northern Netherlands

For our branch in Heerenveen, we are looking for a Sales Engineer who sees opportunities and acts on them. In this role, you will have the freedom to shape sales activities independently and help determine the commercial direction of the branch.

You will work in a region where technically commercial professionals are scarce. This means your approach truly makes the difference: you will actively explore the market, visit customers, and investigate new applications and industries.

What will you do as a Sales Engineer?

As a Sales Engineer in Heerenveen, you are responsible for expanding the customer base and identifying new opportunities. You work independently and largely determine your own approach.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Actively visiting customers throughout the Northern Netherlands
  • Exploring new markets and applications
  • Advising customers on hydraulic systems and drive technology
  • Selling products such as control panels and drive systems
  • Identifying opportunities for PM drives and related technologies
  • Preparing quotations and following up on projects
  • Contributing to the commercial development of the Heerenveen branch

You will spend a lot of time on the road and have direct contact with customers. This role requires someone who takes initiative and gains energy from opening new doors.

Working in Heerenveen: freedom and entrepreneurship

The branch in Heerenveen is still developing. This means there is not yet a fixed commercial structure in place. For you as a Sales Engineer, this creates opportunities.

You will have the freedom to:

  • Build your own customer portfolio
  • Enter new sectors

This requires independence and a proactive attitude. You will work closely with colleagues in engineering and execution, while remaining responsible for your own results.

What do you bring?

We are not looking for a standard profile, but for someone who fits this phase of the branch’s development.

  • HBO working and thinking level, preferably in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a similar field
  • A background in industrial automation, maritime engineering, or installation technology is also highly relevant
  • Experience in a technical commercial role, or the ambition to make this step
  • Affinity with hydraulics, drive technology, or industrial systems
  • Willingness to travel frequently
  • An independent and entrepreneurial mindset

Candidates currently working as an Application Engineer, Project Engineer, or Technical Field Service Engineer are also strongly encouraged to apply.
