Mechanical Engineer

As a Mechanical Engineer at Fundex Equipment, you will design foundation machines and related equipment such as power packs, attachments for handling systems, and customer-specific components. Occasionally, you will modify existing machines and create manuals, parts lists, and As-Built drawings. This involves consulting with all stakeholders to ensure manuals contain accurate information and safety instructions.

Where needed, you will select appropriate materials and components—good material and component knowledge is essential. You will perform strength calculations and ensure everything meets required standards. Contact with clients happens via the Lead Engineer and Sales team, and you will incorporate their feedback into your designs. Once 3D modeling is complete, you will produce 2D production drawings that the factory uses to assemble the machine.

You will join a team of around nine dedicated engineers. Large foundation machines are modeled in 3D, and in teams of two to three colleagues, you will develop the Solid Edge drawings. Teams coordinate closely to ensure designs integrate correctly. Collaboration is therefore a key aspect of this role. • Translate technical specifications into concepts

• MBO4/HBO level with a mechanical engineering background
• Creative, proactive, and flexible
• Experience in machine building, hydraulics, electrical engineering, and machine safety is a plus
• Experience with various software packages:
• 3D CAD systems (Solid Edge preferred)
• MS Office

Proficient in Dutch (written and spoken) and English; French and German are a plus
